Job description, work day and responsibilities

oin Barclays as an Agile Lead for our Enterprise Data Platform Product Office, where you’ll play a key role in helping drive Agile adoption across the Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). The successful candidate will begin by support teams in strengthening their Agile foundations—such as effective use of JIRA and running efficient scrums—while planning and facilitating key events like quarterly planning. You will then drive EDP’s activities as part of Barclays’ wider Scaled Agile adoption. The Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) Team is building a new, firm-wide data platform using cutting-edge technologies including AWS, Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, and more. The EDP Product Office is responsible for defining the platform and product roadmap, leading Agile adoption across EDP, and overseeing initiatives in areas such as Risk & Control.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

Proven experience driving Agile adoption and improvement across multiple global engineering teams
A track record of successfully preparing for and running large-scale Agile events (particularly PI Planning)
A pragmatic approach to engaging with teams at varying levels of Agile maturity and influencing engineering leadership (D level).
Additional skills that are highly valued include:

Scaled Agile certification
Experience working with platform-type products (EDP is a central, AWS-based platform used firm-wide, rather than one aligned with a specific business unit)
Experience tracking and reporting Agile progress to senior management
You may be assessed on the key critical skills relevant for success in role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job-specific technical skills
