About us
UCL is one of the world's top universities based in the heart of London. It is a modern, outward-looking institution. UCL's staff and former students have included 33 Nobel prizewinners. It is a truly international community: more than one-third of our student body – more than 51,000 strong – come from 150+ countries and nearly one-third of staff are from outside the UK.

The Physics and Astronomy Department is located in the heart of the historical area of Bloomsbury. Scientific research and study has been a strong feature of UCL since its inception in 1826 and the Department is currently one of the top ranked Physics departments in the country, and indeed the world.

About the role
The Education Support Team in Physics & Astronomy has been recognised for its excellence in Professional Services Awards and is a strong and cohesive team dedicated to providing exceptional support for staff and students. You will be helping with the postgraduate research teaching provision ensuring effective procedures are adopted and maintained. You will provide support for students from enquiry to completion and also assist with assessment and records. You will work closely with colleagues across the department and the faculty to ensure that the students’ needs are met.

If you have any queries about the role, please contact the Nadia Waller on [email protected].

About you
You will have experience of working in a busy office environment with competing priorities and must be able to demonstrate a high level of computer literacy, maths, and excellent oral and written communication skills. The role involves interaction with many people at all levels within and external to UCL and requires a proactive, highly organised, and efficient individual with a professional attitude, willingness to help, and the ability to work collaboratively and problem solve effectively. You will have the ability to independently prioritise and organise your own workload in a proactive manner to meet time-critical schedules, whilst at the same time maintaining a high degree of accuracy.

Your application form should address all the Person Specification points which are listed in the Job Description. You should clearly explain how your skills and experience meet each of the criteria.
