Your Impact
Asahi Beverages New Zealand is looking for a detail-oriented and commercially savvy Commercial Planning Executive to support our Commercial Planning Manager in building, delivering and optimising the annual commercial plan. In this role, you'll help unlock joint value creation for both Asahi and our retail partners, underpinned by objective, category-led thinking.
You’ll play a key role in aligning cross-functional teams across Sales, Category Marketing, Finance, Demand Planning and CS\&L to ensure flawless execution of our plans across designated categories — all while keeping budgets, resources and sales targets front of mind.
Key Accountabilities
Support coordination of the financial build across IBP horizons, across designated categories
Coordinate monthly Risks & Opportunities consolidation & recommendations into IBP forums
Identify and support the adjustment of plans as needed to hit overall objectives
Active participant in planning and alignment sessions with the Sales team to deliver optimised point of purchase strategies (5Ps) in line with annual budgets and customer expectations.
Visibility of NPD forecasts vs Stage & Gate assumptions. Recommend actions to close gaps
Support co-ordination of Commercial Calendar by category.
Input into development & alignment of best-in-class activation plans for NPD and big bets with sales and marketing.
Own cross functional alignment of commercial plan of designated categories
About you
Solid FMCG experience in Sales/Marketing (Commercial Function)
Category Development experience desirable
Organised and forward-thinking, with a focus on setting clear priorities.
A natural team player who works seamlessly across functions
Confident working with budgets, forecasts, and commercial metrics.
Solid experience working with and interpreting data with strong proficiency in Excel and MS office suite
