Job Description
Provide advice and mentoring on governance matters to schools across the Northern Territory.
Work closely with parents, families, and school communities to foster strong partnerships and support effective governance.
Help empower School Councils and Boards to thrive in their practices, ensuring that every school is equipped to meet the needs of students, families, and communities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex legislative information clearly and effectively to a diverse audience.
Advanced MS Office Proficiency: Expertise in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly for documentation, reporting, and communication tasks.
Attention to Detail: Excellent administrative skills with a focus on accuracy in documenting and managing governance matters.
Cross-Cultural Competence: Proven experience in working within diverse cultural settings, preferably with an understanding of the Northern Territory context.
Confidentiality: Experience in handling sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
Availability after hours: Requirement to work some evenings and travel overnight during school terms.
Autonomy and Collaboration: Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as a member of a small, inclusive team.
