Job Title: English Teacher (Grades 3-5 and Grades +-12)
Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
We are looking for two dedicated and experienced English Teachers to join our team, one to teach students in grades 3-5 and another for grades +-12. The ideal candidates should have a passion for teaching English language and literature, with the ability to engage students at different levels in creative and effective ways. Both positions require a commitment to fostering a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking among students.
Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons tailored to the respective age group (Grades 3-5 or Grades +-12).
• For grades 3-5, focus on foundational language skills, including reading, writing, grammar, and comprehension.
• For grades +-12, cover more advanced English language and literature topics, including prose, poetry, essay writing, and exam preparation.
• Develop creative teaching strategies that engage students and encourage participation.
• Prepare students for assessments through assignments, quizzes, and projects (board exams for grades +-12).
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to help them improve.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and growth.
• Communicate with parents regularly regarding student development and performance.
• Participate in school events, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
• Bachelors degree in English or a related field; Masters degree preferred for the high school level.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience for primary levels (grades 3-5); 3-4 years of experience for high school levels (grades +-12).
• Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills.
• Ability to engage students with creative and effective teaching methods.
• Experience in preparing students for board exams (for grades +-12 position).
