Job Description
As a Learning Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting the school's teaching and learning strategy. Your primary responsibility will be to model high-quality teaching and learning practices, demonstrating expertise in curriculum planning and delivery. You will work closely with the school leadership team to develop a shared view of highly effective teacher practice, leading and modelling the implementation of whole-school improvement strategies.
You will also provide evidence-based feedback to teaching staff, informing their effectiveness and development. Your expertise will be sought after to advise on professional learning structures, processes, and protocols through Professional Learning Communities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be eligible for this role, you must be currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach in the specified curriculum area(s). Additionally, from 3 August 2020, graduates from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education program after 1 July 2016 must demonstrate that they have passed the literacy and numeracy test for initial teacher education (LANTITE) requirements.
