Job Description
A School Education Counsellor supports students in their academic, career, and personal development within the school environment. They help students choose the right subjects, manage stress, and plan future educational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Provide academic counselling to students (subject selection, study planning)
Guide students on career options after school (streams, courses, entrance exams)
Conduct one-on-one counselling sessions for students facing academic or personal challenges
Support students’ emotional and mental well-being
Organize career guidance workshops, seminars, and orientation sessions
Work closely with teachers and parents to monitor student progress
Maintain confidential student records and counselling reports
Identify students needing special support and refer them when required
Help students prepare for board exams and future academic planning
Required Skills
Strong communication and listening skills
Empathy and patience
Knowledge of school curriculum and career pathways
Ability to handle sensitive student issues
Good organizational and record-keeping skills
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Psychology / Education preferred)
Master’s degree in Psychology / Counselling (preferred)
Certification in school counselling (advantage)
Experience
1–3 years of experience in a school or counselling role (freshers with relevant training may apply)
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
