Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Junior Payroll Coordinator to assist in the accurate and timely processing of payroll for employees. This role involves supporting payroll functions, maintaining employee data, and ensuring compliance with payroll regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, an eye for detail, and a desire to grow in the field of payroll administration.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing:

Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payroll schedules.

Data Management:

Maintain and update employee payroll records, including salary, benefits, and deductions, ensuring data accuracy.

Time and Attendance:

Monitor and verify employee attendance records, overtime, and leave to ensure correct payments.

Compliance:

Ensure payroll practices comply with federal and state regulations, including tax laws and labor standards.

Employee Queries:

Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing accurate information and resolving issues in a timely manner.

Reporting:

Assist in preparing payroll reports for management, including wage summaries, tax withholdings, and benefits deductions.

Deductions and Benefits:

Process deductions for benefits, taxes, and other withholdings as per employee agreements and legal requirements.

Payroll Audits:

Support internal and external payroll audits by providing necessary documentation and data.

Process Improvement:

Assist in identifying opportunities for streamlining payroll processes and enhancing accuracy and efficiency.

Collaboration:

Work closely with HR and finance teams to ensure payroll data aligns with employee records and financial reporting.

Learning & Development:

Participate in training and development programs to enhance payroll skills and stay updated on payroll regulations.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or currently pursuing).
• Basic understanding of payroll processes and regulations.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with payroll software is a plus.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
