Role & responsibilities
• To receive patients and record details concerning the patient, which includes name, age, sex, diagnosis and previous history.
• To prepare the patients for the E.E.G recording.
• To clean the scalp before the recording is started, cleaning the 22 points where the electrodes are to be placed
• To apply jelly and place the electrodes in the 22 areas
• To start the recording of EEG with special test procedures like Sphenoidal or with polygraphic studies.
• To disconnect all equipment from patient pertaining to the test procedure.
• Prior to the procedure explain about it.
• To prepare the patient for the EMG and operate the recording parameters.
• To perform the nerve conduction study whenever necessary, by applying the electrodes at the appropriate muscle and obtaining recordings from them.
• To perform the evoked potentials study or Nerve conduction study pertaining to the sensory, visual or auditory systems.
• To participate and contribute to departmental quality initiatives
• To be aware of departments performance and objective.
• To carryout data collection/support in data collection.
• To adhere the safety norms of hospital and follow both patient safety and staff safety rules.
• Provide healthcare services in patients residences
• Administer simple prescribed medications
• Assist with clients personal care activities
• Monitor patients {vital signs, temperature, respiration intake/output, etc} and report on their condition
• Assist patients with mobility and physical therapies/exercises
• Instruct and counsel patients and families on diet and exercise
• Maintain patients care records and document provided services
• Provide companionship and basic emotional or psychological support
• Perform domestic and household tasks
• Transport and accompany patients to doctors office or to hospital
• Collect routine specimens
• To perform any procedures assigned by the HOD.

Qul:Bsc EEG
Fresher or Experienced.
