Examples of Duties
Assists and supports the Registration Team in election activities, including scanning voter registration applications into DocuWare and filing electronically
Accepts and date stamps voter registration applications
Receives and date stamps returned mail
Assists in answering the phone and directing calls as necessary
Serves counter customers
Processes daily election mail
Answers general questions from the public or directs to appropriate staff member or administrator
Actively involved in the Absentee by Mail Voting process
Implements special projects as assigned by the Director or Registrar/Supervisor, including poll worker coordination
Assists with Early Processing of absentee by mail ballots
Ability to multi-task and work within deadlines
Other duties may be required and assigned
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or four years of equivalent work experience in a related field required; Including experience or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Licenses or Certifications:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. Within six months of employment, must obtain MEOC & GEROC certification.

Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in performance of the essential functions and learn, comprehend, and apply all Federal, State, Local, Municipal, and County Elections departmental policies, practices, and procedures necessary to function effectively in this position.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The work is sedentary work which requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Requires mental acuity including the ability to make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes, the ability to express ideas by means of the spoken word and have close visual acuity.
