Electric Technician

We are hiring for a reputed company in Qatar position-Electric Technician following are the job details and job description - Qualification Eligibility Criteria: - Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering as minimum. • Knowledge, Skills & Attributes: • Technical - Familiar with SAP/similar maintenance tools and its functions for PM, CM and predictive maintenance tasks - Knowledge in Electrical Testing, Circuit Trouble Shooting, review electrical scheme, drawings, Diagnose, fault finding techniques and various site repairs/refurbishment. - Knowledge on programming, setting of Numerical relays preferably SEL, Alstom, ABB /Siemens - Excellent in oral & written English, review and understands SLD, P&ID;, isometrics & QA/QC system - Familiar with IEC, ISA, and NFPA Standards. Good knowledge of OSHA requirement for safety regulation. - Good knowledge on company Standard Permit to Work(PTW) procedure & QA/QC system - Working knowledge on Microsoft office - outlook, excel and word - Working Understanding of DCS / PLC control system and instrumentation is a plus • Managerial - A good team player and able to build own team and plan man-hours with time schedule day to day basis - Good Communication and reporting skills • Experience - 7 plus years for diploma holder or 5years for degree holder as hands-on Electrical Technician in any large sized Polysilicon Plant, Petrochemical, Oil/Gas or Chemical plants. • Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Preventive Maintenance - Perform routine condition monitoring Electrical equipment such as MV/LV switchgears, transformers, motors, UPS, Battery banks, DG sets, FW Diesel pump system, Reactor/convertors etc. with critical equipment and follow the maintenance procedures to ascertain that those are in good working condition. Field Maintenance, repairs (Corrective Maintenance) - Review the electrical drawings such as SLD, Schemes to troubleshoot/fault analysis. - Manage electrical field maintenance and repair practices for Cable faults, joints, HT/LT Exd motors, Power and Distribution oil filled and dry type Transformers, Protection Systems, MV/LV Switch Gears, ATS scheme, MCC, AC/DC UPS with Battery banks, DG sets, VFD, Soft starters, Thyristor panels, Soft-starters, Electrical heaters, lighting/small power, street lighting and temporary power supply systems etc. - Perform Testing and ensure that test equipment is well maintained, calibrated as per recommended approved frequency. - Receive/develop work request from Electrical Supervisor / planner. Attends directly to requests from various department to facilitate Maintenance. - Perform repair and maintenance of power tools, rotating and non-rotating electrical equipment. - Aware of construction and commissioning activities such as 33kV,10kV MV and LV cable installation/testing, Transformers, Motors Installation, Panel assembly and wiring hook-up. - Able to test IR with 5kV IR tester and able to perform 33kV switchgear CB rack-in, rack-out and service operations, preferably Tamco Malaysia MV switchgears. - Timely response to PM work orders in accordance to routine maintenance work orders, ascertaining their priority and close out actions. - Able to work in shifts with multi - disciplinary field within maintenance department Stock Management & Equipment upkeep - Assist in identifying and maintaining right spare parts and optimizing of spares stock levels. - Raise flag for low inventory Continuous Improvement - Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of all systems, processes and practices. - Suggest new types or testing tools, equipment and practices Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures - Follow all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating and maintenance procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner. - Assist in developing the SOP, SMP as per vendor/OEM recommendation, best industrial standards and field experience. Statements and Reports - Assist in the preparation of timely and accurate functional statements and reports to meet QSTec function requirements, policies, and standards. Quality, Health, Safety, & Environment - Ensure all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental procedures, instructions and controls are adhered to so that the safety of employees, quality of products/services and environmental compliance can be guaranteed. - Actively abide by company’s, SHE (Safety Health & Environmental) programs to ensure the safe operation. - Understand PTW requirements & assist in preparation of Job hazard analysis. Other - Perform other ad-hoc responsibilities and tasks as needed to manage electrical maintenance.
