VACANCY FOR ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Join us as Electrical Design Engineer you will become a part of the Core Automation team, which is responsible for the development of advanced control systems and IoT solutions for all Alfa Laval core products. As our new Electrical Design Engineer, you will design and maintain our Automation Systems throughout the whole product lifecycle.

The position / About the Job:
In this job the Electrical Design Engineer would be responsible for:
The main tasks will be:
• Low voltage electrical design for CE-marked machines.
• Pre-planning and carrying through the product development of automation systems.
• Participate in the quality review process.
• Cross-site collaboration within the global team
• Function test of electrical/automation cabinets
• Product support, helpdesk, claims handling.
• Design and support motor and drive systems.
What you know
• Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering degree
• Electrical design tools like ePlan P8 or similar
• At least 5 years of experience of design, commissioning and support of machines / electric installations.
• Pre-bidding / sales support & prototype design
• CE-marking requirements; EN 60204-1, EN 1384+ Safety calculation expertise.
• In-depth knowledge of how to perform FAT.
• Experience with electrical engineering drawings
• Project work and product development.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
Added advantage:
• ATEX, EN 6007+-1 Electrical design for explosive atmospheres.
• Experience in designing electrical cabinets for UL/CSA markets.
• Project management.
• Basic knowledge of induction motors.
