Position Overview:
Lumira Powers is seeking a highly motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in electrical design and a passion for developing innovative solutions in the power sector. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, testing, and implementing electrical systems that meet our clients' needs and contribute to a sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and objectives.
- Develop detailed electrical designs, including schematics, layouts, and wiring diagrams.
- Perform calculations and simulations to ensure the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems.
- Select appropriate components and materials for electrical projects.
- Create and review technical documentation, including specifications and reports.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
- Participate in prototype development and testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during the design and implementation phases.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Provide technical support to project managers and other team members.
- Collaborate with suppliers and contractors as needed.
- Able to work on Autocad, SketchUp, and Pvsyst.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the solar sector.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, theories, and practices.
- Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to electrical design.
- A professional engineering license (PE) is a plus.
