Your new role
As an Electrical Design Engineer within Building Services, you will be responsible for ensuring an understanding of project briefs and designing all electrical building services systems, including power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, and lightning protection.
You will carry out (and manage others in) the production of detailed calculations using industry-standard software tools such as Excel, Dialux, Amtech, and in-house developed tools. Additionally, you will represent the organization at meetings with clients and contractors, conduct site surveys, inspections, and monitoring of site works, write reports and technical notes, and adhere to all quality, environmental, and governance processes.
What you'll need to succeed
Degree qualified, or equivalent qualification, in Building Services Engineering/Electrical Engineering or related subjects.
At least 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering on Building Services projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and building codes.
Experience working in a design consultancy and/or within a contractor design environment is essential.
Estimated Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
