Job Description
Candidate will provide electrical engineering and design for water and wastewater facility projects, serving as lead electrical engineer when required. Qualified candidate must have knowledge in industrial power design, including medium and low voltage electrical power distribution, motor control, VFDs, lighting systems, equipment layout and related activities. Candidate must have a good working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) or National Electrical Code (NEC) and other related Codes. Candidate must possess strong communication skills, including ability to interact with clients, contractors, and other engineers.
Responsibilities Include:
Supervision of less experienced staff on a project
Coordination with engineers of other disciplines
Conducting field inspections of completed installations
Conducting field visits as part condition assessments and/or design information gathering
Engagement in Business Development activities such as proposal preparation and fee/scope development. Fill the role of Project Manager for selected Electrical projects.
Additional Qualifications Required:
Experience and proficiency with AutoCAD software
Experience and proficiency with SKM and/or ETAP software
Working knowledge of Revit BIM software
Project leadership experience, preferably on larger projects
