Job Description
Position Title: Electrical Engineer - Trainee
The role has a mix of Electrical Installations, Field Supervision, Testing, Commissioning, PLC programming, Training, Quality inspection, Projects and Customer/Supplier co-ordination
Reporting to: Project Lead / Project Supervisors
Responsibilities
• You will be working and learning under the guidance of an Experienced Engineer on the Electrical Installations, Wiring, I/O checking, Pre-Commissioning, etc., of Plastic / Rubber Extrusion Machinery
• Ensure tasks are completed on time, error-free, and according to the specifications.
• To study, learn, and write PLC programs under the guidance of your Mentor
• Identify high-risk tasks or issues and drive them to resolution in a timely manner
• Analyzing project specifications, adapting to work schedules, and completing tasks
• Collaborating with other Engineers and technical personnel to develop skills and knowledge
• To troubleshoot and solve complex problems
• Liaising with the team and writing up reports to responsible team leaders
• To follow meeting and training Schedules
Qualifications
• We expect that you have a Diploma or Bachelor within the relevant academic field (e.g. Engineering or Technology in Mechanical or Electrical or any relevant)
• Fresher (course completed) or up to 2 years of proven experience in the Electrical works
• Basic Exposure to PLC Programs, Drives, etc., preferably on all the latest Rockwell and Siemens (TIA portal)
• Knowledge on HV / LV switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, large variable speed drives,
• Basic knowledge on relays, circuit breakers, disconnectors, current and voltage transformers
• Hands-on AutoCAD or MDT or any Electrical Schematic tools
• Solid language skills (verbal and written) in English are required
