The pay range for this role is:
75,000 - 125,000 USD per year (Remote - Seattle, US)

Note, for candidates in the “Designer” role without FE/PE licensing would be the lower end of the pay range ($75-105k), while candidates qualifying for an “Engineer” role would be towards the upper end of the pay range ($+0-125k)




Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Mid level Electrical Designer or Engineer to join our team. This role is vital in driving our project success across a range of sectors, including multifamily, affordable housing, commercial office, retail TIs, highrise, and midrise. You will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in electrical design to create effective and sustainable solutions, with a focus on integrating energy-efficient designs and ensuring compliance with local codes and policies.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in electrical design for various project types and deliver projects across multiple delivery models, including design/bid/build, design assist, and design build.
Develop contract drawings from Schematics through Construction Documents.
Apply engineering principles to electrical distribution, lighting and power systems design.
Effectively communicate design options to a diverse stakeholder group.
Independently evaluate and apply engineering judgment, techniques, and procedures to complete a project from concepts through construction.
Apply knowledge of building codes and electrical industry standards.
Perform engineering calculations and equipment selection.
Perform site visits and issue reports.
Edit project specifications.
Attend meetings with clients and project teams.
Proactively enhance technical quality by staying updated with emerging technologies, evolving building codes, and advancements in the industry.
Collaborate in a multidisciplinary environment to produce integrated project documents, ensuring cohesive design strategies and solutions.
Manage project time efficiently, contributing to timely project delivery and adherence to quality standards.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum 2-5 years' experience in electrical engineering within the building construction industry.
Proficient in Revit, Bluebeam, and the Microsoft Office products.
Minimum 2-5 years' experience modeling electrical systems & compiling construction documents in Revit.
Minimum 2-5 years' experience with NEC.
Must be located within the Seattle area to support in person meetings as needed (Hybrid once physical office has been identified).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar related field of study, or equivalent work experience.
FE/EIT or PE license is preferred.
LEED AP is preferred.
Expert knowledge of Washington State and Seattle codes and sustainable design practices.
Electric Utility coordination, including experience with submitting service applications. SCL and PSE experience strongly preferred.
Experience with design of Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure.
