Role Description This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru for an Electrical Design Engineer .
The candidate will be responsible for designing electrical control systems and preparing detailed engineering documentation, including BOMs (Bill of Materials), DAPs (Design Approval Packages), IO lists, and wiring diagrams . The role also involves developing panel layouts, power distribution designs, and schematic drawings using tools such as EPLAN and AutoCAD .
The Electrical Design Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, review technical specifications, ensure compliance with industry standards , and contribute to the optimization and standardization of electrical designs for automation and control projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop electrical control panels and wiring diagrams.
Prepare detailed BOMs , IO lists , cable schedules , and terminal plans .
Create and manage EPLAN or AutoCAD drawings for electrical design documentation.
Develop Design Approval Packages (DAP) and ensure documentation accuracy.
Coordinate with mechanical, software, and project teams to ensure seamless integration.
Review and interpret technical specifications, standards, and client requirements.
Support testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities when required.
Ensure all designs comply with industrial standards and safety regulations .
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in electrical design within automation or control systems industries.
Strong knowledge of BOM preparation, IO list creation, DAP documentation , and EPLAN/AutoCAD design .
Proficiency in EPLAN , AutoCAD Electrical , or equivalent electrical design tools.
Strong understanding of power distribution , control circuits , and industrial standards .
Excellent problem-solving skills , attention to detail , and documentation accuracy .
Good communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in a team.
Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
