Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to the curriculum and student needs
Facilitate classroom activities that promote active learning and student participation
Assess student progress through assignments, tests, and observations, providing constructive feedback
Maintain a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment
Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities
Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional practices and curriculum content
Monitor attendance and communicate with students or parents regarding progress or concerns
Stay updated on current educational trends and incorporate innovative teaching techniques
Skills
Proven classroom experience with the ability to manage diverse groups of learners
Strong teaching skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage students and foster motivation
Organizational skills to plan lessons, manage time effectively, and track student progress
Adaptability to modify instructional approaches based on student needs

Required Qualifications and Experience
Interprovincial Certificate of Qualification (Red Seal) - Construction Electrician or Industrial Electrician,
Degree or diploma in adult education is considered an asset.
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of recent, industry-related work experience.
Experience in training and facilitating adults.
Experience working in a supervisory position.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
Experience in instructing adult learners, including classroom management.
Experience with Microsoft Office is considered an asset.
Experience using a Learning Management System is an asset.
Conditions of Employment
Legally entitled to work in Canada.
Successful completion of a Criminal Record check including vulnerable sector and Child Abuse Registry Check
