Electrical Substation Engineering Manager
We are seeking an accomplished Electrical Substation Engineering Manager to spearhead our electrical substation engineering team.
Main Responsibilities:
• Review and approve designs & drawings related to substations (SS) to ensure safety, economy, reliability, sustainability, and quality.
• Prepare detailed BOQs along with technical specifications for successful bidding on upcoming projects, incorporating innovative approaches to optimize costs.
• Provide technical support to the O & M team for successfully running SS during operation and maintenance.
Key Requirements:
• Design and develop electrical substation systems focusing on safety, economy, reliability, sustainability, and quality.
• Prepare, review, and approve engineering documents as per relevant codes / standards / technical specification for Electrical substations.
• Detailed knowledge of various standards, guidelines, and practices for Electrical engineering requirements for substation.
• Proficient in design and detailing software's such as AutoCAD, ETAP, DiaLux etc.
• Able to independently design & detail the Electrical works related to substations.
• Provide Electrical BOQ and preparation of Layout / SLD / RFQ.
• Understand the Electrical Layout and SLD.
• Advanced understanding about electrical equipment.
• Timely completion of Electrical engineering activities for substations.
• Preparation of Electrical primary design and BOQ for tendering purpose with innovative approach of optimizations for successful bidding.
• Basic knowledge of secondary engineering.
• Knowledge of interface/system integration engineering between primary, primary and secondary electrical engineering.
• Review of type test reports, routine test reports of primary substation electrical engineering.
• Perform manual voltage drop, short circuit and motor starting calculations to check ETAP reports.
• Good knowledge of electrical construction methods and materials.
• Frequent visit to site to sort out the problems related to engineering.
• Create, maintain, track, and update the engineering documents as per schedule.
People Management:
• Working with a team.
• Smoother communication with various stakeholders.
Qualification:
• BE / B. Tech – Electrical, M. Tech – Will be an additional advantage.
