- Solid understanding of solar energy principles, PV system components, and electrical wiring.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools required for solar installations.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve issues related to solar energy systems.
- Knowledge of local electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards for solar installations.
- Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Install solar photovoltaic (PV) systems according to design specifications, applicable codes, and safety standards.
- Conduct site assessments to evaluate the feasibility of solar installations, including assessing roof conditions, shading analysis, and electrical system compatibility.
- Perform electrical wiring and interconnection of solar panels, inverters, and other system components.
- Conduct troubleshooting and repair work on solar energy systems, including identifying and resolving issues related to wiring, connections, and equipment malfunctions.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of installations, while adhering to project schedules and quality standards.
- Conduct system performance testing and commissioning, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of installations, inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during installations and maintenance activities
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technology advancements, and best practices in solar energy systems.
