An Electrician-Plumber (or Electrician-cum-Plumber) is a skilled technician responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing both electrical systems and plumbing infrastructure in residential or commercial settings. They diagnose issues, repair pipes/fixtures, handle wiring and lighting, and ensure compliance with safety codes and building regulations.
Key Responsibilities
• Plumbing: Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, and drainage systems (PVC, UPVC, G.I). Fix leaks, clogs, faucets, and sanitary fixtures.
• Electrical: Install, troubleshoot, and repair wiring, electrical fixtures, lighting, and DB dressing.
• Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on both water and electrical systems.
• Infrastructure: Read and interpret blueprints/technical diagrams to plan installations.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure all work meets local building codes and safety regulations.
• Additional Tasks: Repair domestic appliances (e.g., heaters, pumps) and may assist with light carpentry or plastering.
