Compensation for this role: $40.00 to $50.00 per hour.

• Works in all weather conditions.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Uphold Encore Service Pledge.
• Follow guidelines in Employee Information Manual.
• Perform layout and planning and make every attempt to prefab jobs.
• Perform small estimates (change estimates) and write client proposals.
• Run large service jobs and small projects from $500,000 and below.
• Responsible for tracking job progress to maintain job budget.
• Perform small job walks with clients if needed.
• Make informed decisions about the job without having to consult Service Supervisor for all details.
• Consult Service Supervisor when necessary on larger decisions.
• Run small crews and perform small projects.
• Identify sales opportunities through building a strong relationship with the client.
• Identify out of scope work, writing Requests For Information (RFIs) as necessary.
• Perform electrical work alone or with others making judgment calls for crews in the field prior to contacting service supervisors.
• Estimate the general amount of time and material to complete service tasks and communicate it to the supervisor.
• Communicate with vendors, engineers, owners, Service Supervisors, and other contractors to assure jobs are completed within scope and budget.
• Update as-built drawings to reflect current building conditions.
• Represent Encore Electric, Inc. to the client by a clean and neat appearance on the job, including all Encore branded items.
• Treat clients with the highest degree of respect and work to develop partnership environment.
• Investigate and problem solve to determine the most efficient way to install changes to existing service.
• Determine client needs and the most effective way to meet them.
• Must communicate with Service Supervisor on a frequent basis regarding scheduling and work in progress.
• Obtain and order own commodity material and some non-commodity material.
• Work well around building owners and tenants to perform job representing Encore in a professional manner.
• Determine what is necessary to accomplish tasks and meet NEC and NFPA 70E standards as well as any other requirements as per the Authority Having Jurisdiction while meeting budgetary guidelines.
• Contact clients to confirm appointments set by service supervisor.
• Manage budget and make every effort to meet the budget.
• Notify Service Supervisor if changes to scope are being requested or required.
• Must be flexible with hours, shifts, and geographic locations with reasonable notice.
• On-call duties as needed.
• Work is performed throughout Utah’s Wasatch Front.
• Responsible to make sure company vehicle is properly cleaned and maintained.
• Maintain proper general stock.
• Responsible for continuing their education within the electrical field and in their career path.
• Maintain clean, proper tools and inventory ensuring equipment is in good working order.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of:
• Major and minor electrical materials and their uses.
• One-line drawings.
• Electrical control work and how to troubleshoot.
• Basic ladder diagrams.
• Basic fire alarm, telecommunications, and security systems wiring.
• Electrical drawings and coordination of drawings.
• Prefab and its uses.
• The National Electric Code and the use of NFPA-70
E.
• When to contact service supervisor and when to make a decision on your own.
• Wiring systems and how to perform all phases of project installation.
• Materials.
• The relationship between wholesale, distribution, and retail to determine the best relationship to save the company and client money.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques and components involved in entire electrical systems.
• Parts available and appropriate use.
• Commercial electrical construction.
• Tools, tool uses, and repair techniques.
• Safety requirements and specialized training and certification.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Requires a Utah JW license and may require additional State JW licenses.
• Requires at least three years’ experience as an Electrician Service Technician which can be substituted by demonstrated experience in service.
• Requires acceptable Motor Vehicle Record and Utah Driver’s license.
