Job role: Design Engineer - Electromechanical (Automotive sector)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electro-mechanical Design Engineer with 2-4 years of experience in the automotive industry to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and testing electro-mechanical components and systems for automotive applications. This role requires proficiency in CAD tools, a strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, and the ability to collaborate across departments to deliver high-quality automotive products.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop electro-mechanical systems and components for automotive applications, ensuring alignment with project specifications and requirements.
• Use CAD software (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks, Creo & Auto cad) to create detailed 3D models and 2D technical drawings of electro-mechanical systems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, electronics and manufacturing) to ensure the seamless integration of components into the vehicle system.
• Conduct analysis and simulations of electro-mechanical systems to validate design performance and ensure compliance with safety and reliability standards. (IEC or ISO)
• Perform prototype testing and troubleshooting of designs to ensure functionality and resolve issues as they arise.
• Assist in the development of product specifications, bills of materials (BOMs), and design documentation.
• Evaluate and select appropriate materials and components based on performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Participate in design reviews, ensuring designs meet quality, cost, and timeline goals.
• Continuously research and implement innovative solutions to improve product performance and manufacturing processes.
• Support the manufacturing and assembly teams with design modifications and improvements.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001 and other automotive-specific certifications.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical /Electronics / Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in electro-mechanical design, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong proficiency in CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Familiarity with electro-mechanical components such as motors, actuators, sensors, and controllers.
• Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and automotive industry standards.
• Experience with simulation tools for mechanical and electrical system analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of automotive standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, IATF 16949) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers.
• Familiarity with automotive wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
• Experience with DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and other risk management tools.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
