The Central Control Management team manages several key control programs across JPM.
With the expansion of remote working arrangements and the growing use of mobile devices in all facets of our daily lives, JPM must continue to ensure that all business-related electronic communications comply with local regulatory requirements related to communication surveillance and data retention.
The Firmwide Electronic Communications (E-Comms) Team manages JPM’s E-Comms related control framework across all Lines of Business and Functions. The Firmwide E-Comms Team has direct responsibility for the following program components:
Job Responsibilities:
(1) Strategy & Planning – overseeing business management of electronic communications, channels and mobile solutions, including continued refinement of the program’s target state, and driving overall E-Comms related process improvements;
(2) Governance – ensuring consistent treatment of firmwide electronic communications across LOBs and Functions, driving E-Comms related roles & responsibilities, and ensuring consistent governance protocols exist across all Lines of Business and Functions;
(3) Execution – managing day-to-day electronic communications related tasks, reporting, analytics, monitoring and training; working with Lines of Business and Functions to ensure consistent execution of policies and procedures;
(4) Relationship Management – managing day-to-day inquiries related to the firm’s electronic communications program from Lines of Business and Functions, as well as internal & external auditors and regulators.
The ideal candidate for this Associate-level role will work on a broad range of tasks and must be proficient at:
Supporting the team lead with setting and executing the global program strategy
Supporting the team lead with refining existing processes to ensure they remain best-in-class by soliciting and incorporating stakeholder feedback, as appropriate
Assisting with ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements relating to electronic communications; this may involve supporting the E-Comms team with various data related tasks, data analysis, presentation preparation, and other similar responsibilities.
Supporting the team lead by becoming a Subject Matter Expert on the E-Comms program, this will include supporting focused interactions with JPM’s senior leadership, all lines of business, functions, auditors, and regulators
Supporting the team lead with managing the firmwide E-Comms related policies and procedures and ensuring compliance with all JPM documentation standards
Partnering with reporting teams to ensure E-Comms related reports meet customer needs
Partnering with application development teams to ensure E-Comms related applications meet customer needs
Supporting the team lead and partnering with the Control Management, Human Resources, and Compliance teams to ensure E-Comms related learning modules are appropriate, assigned to relevant employees, are completed in a timely fashion, and meet E-Comm related needs
Supporting the team lead and partnering with Compliance and Legal to develop and deliver electronic communications related messages, that may be required across Lines of Business or Functions
Working with Quality Assurance teams to review E-Comm related findings and to prioritize remediation efforts
Navigating a diverse organization with competing priorities
Influencing staff at all levels of the organization
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
2-4 years of financial service experience in controls, audit, risk management or compliance preferred
High level of professionalism, detail oriented, strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
Leadership and Influencing skills - Takes ownership and is accountable for area of responsibility
Strong communication skills - both verbal and written; ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. Proven experience with effectively communicating written messages.
Networking – exceptional interpersonal skills; exceptional collaboration and relationship building skills
Work independently as well as part of a team; Work autonomously to affect change - flexible, adaptable to shifting priorities; manages competing priorities to achieve the most effective result and able to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment
Proactive approach to problem solving, owning the issues and having the determination to follow tasks/issues through and ability to develop structure and solve problems in a pragmatic and balanced way; solid critical thinking, attention to detail and analytical skills; able to synthesize large amounts of data and formulate appropriate conclusions
Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio) and SharePoint
Ability to analyze data and processes; ability to think critically
Familiarity with Alteryx or other data analysis / manipulation protocols a plus
