Job Description
You will work cross-functionally with IT, supply chain, customer service, and external partners to proactively identify issues, resolve transaction failures, and improve EDI performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
• Monitor and manage daily EDI transactions to ensure successful processing and timely delivery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve EDI errors related to mapping, data validation, transmission failures, and partner compliance.
• Analyze EDI transaction sets such as 850 (Purchase Orders), 810 (Invoices), 856 (ASNs), 997 (Functional Acknowledgements) and others as required.
• Coordinate with internal ERP/WMS teams to resolve integration-related issues.
• Communicate directly with trading partners and third-party EDI providers to investigate and resolve transaction discrepancies.
• Perform EDI testing, onboarding, and partner setup independently with minimal supervision.
• Maintain documentation of mappings, workflows, issue logs, and SOPs.
• Identify recurring issues and propose process improvements or automation opportunities.
• Support system upgrades, format changes, and new partner implementations.
• Mentor junior team members or provide guidance on routine troubleshooting tasks.
Technical Skills & Experience
• 2–3 years of experience in EDI operations, support, or integration.
• Working knowledge of ANSI X12 and/or EDIFACT standards.
• Experience handling common transaction sets (850, 810, 856, 940, 945, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with EDI platforms such as SPS Commerce, Cleo, Gentran, TrueCommerce, Boomi, or similar tools.
• Understanding of EDI mapping, translation, and communication protocols (AS2, FTP/SFTP, VAN).
• Experience with ERP or supply chain systems integration (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
• Familiarity with data formats such as XML, JSON, CSV, flat files.
• Comfortable working with SQL queries for basic data validation (preferred but not mandatory).
• Experience using ticketing systems.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong analytical and root-cause problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple issues in a fast-paced operational environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong documentation and process orientation.

• Exposure to retail, logistics, or supply chain environments.
• Experience in EDI partner onboarding and compliance management.
