Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited electrical or mechanical systems trade school or apprenticeship program, or US Navy mechanical program
Have at least 3 years of maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and heating and air conditioning systems
Applicants should have knowledge and hands-on experience in a majority of the following areas:
Diagnosing and resolving electrical and hydraulic issues
Basic mechanical maintenance to oil systems
Basic understanding of electrical systems
Understanding electrical and mechanical technical drawings
Proficient with personal computers and have a familiarity with operational, schematics, and maintenance publications
Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Demonstrate ability to perform assigned taskings
Obtain valid U.S. passport in an expeditious manner
Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
Ability to obtain and maintain company provided travel charge cards
Must be capable of passing a Mariner's Physical per COMSCINST 6000.l.c and maintain their medical fitness for this position
Secret Clearance required to start and ability to complete government background investigation and meet eligibility requirements to obtain Top Clearance

The Leidos National Security Sector is seeking an experienced, Electro-Mechanical Technician to work in an arduous duty environment aboard government owned Ocean Surveillance Ships conducting Surveillance Towed Array Sensory System (SURTASS) operations at sea. Technicians will be on a 6 month on and 3 month off rotating mission, working in excess of 40-hours per week.
• Selected applicant can reside anywhere within the United States as long as he/she is flexible for deployments and travel.

As a member of the SURTASS team, you will be responsible for the following:
