ECO Garage Doors are a fast-growing garage door manufacturer, proudly 100% Australian owned and operated. Our highly engineered products are at the forefront of technology, providing new and innovative solutions to the garage door industry for the residential and commercial sector.
Our Australian made products includes sectional doors, thermal insulated doors, roller doors, commercial doors, industrial doors and we are highly experienced in bespoke engineered doors.
Our Access Automation products include automatic garage door openers, remote controls and receivers, smart APP devices, photo electric beams, loop detection devices.
Our manufacturing facility in Dandenong South includes state of the art machinery and full robotics automation lines, and a comprehensive Engineering facility for research and development and product testing.
We are currently seeking an Electronics / Firmware Design Engineer to join our engineering team.
About You
This is a newly created role and would suit an Electronics and Firmware Design Engineer with extensive experience to design and develop new products for the Australian and international markets.
The candidate should preferably have proven experience in the electronics manufacturing sector such as Garage Door Openers, Access Control Systems and is capable of working independently and within a team of engineers on emerging technologies and to further improve our existing product range. Robotics automation experience is preferred but not essential.
You must possess sound knowledge and hands on experience with the design of circuit boards, PCB, PCBA, electronic components, Firmware and capable to develop test jigs and fixtures etc.
Essential Skills, Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Product Design & Electronics industry is a must.
Bachelor of Electronic and Firmware Engineering
PCB, PCBA design experience
Firmware C, C# and Python experience
Full-stack / software development experience preferred but not essential.
Mechatronics / Robotics background preferred but not essential.
Altium Electronics Design Software experience is a must.
Excellent communication, organizational, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with senior management.
Ability to work independently and within a team to achieve company’s goals, objectives and timelines.
Strong documentation skills, high attention to detail and adhere to company systems and procedures.
