Job Description
The Electronics Technician I is responsible for testing automotive components, developing component test systems, and assisting in various electronic design and development activities. These functions are carried out with excellence and with thoroughness. This position demands attention to detail, accuracy, and technical competence. It also requires some knowledge of automotive electronics and automotive specifications as well as knowledge of test procedures required for automotive parts. Lastly, it requires an efficient work ethic while maintaining a high level of overall quality.
Essential Responsibilities
Examples of specific responsibilities and tasks include, but are not limited to:
• Assists in creating new electronic product designs based on customer requests or internal development plans
• Assists with electronic part procurement
• Builds prototypes and test fixtures, modifies circuit boards, and assists in testing
