JOB PURPOSE:
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director in the overall administration of the Human Resources function in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and to maximize profitability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Listen and respond to any incoming inquiries/calls. Assist Team Members, managers or candidates and provide accurate information in a timely manner.
Posts open positions utilizing applicant tracking system.
Review applications and schedule interviews with respective departments and make recommendations for employment.
Assist with recruitment efforts including, attending job fairs, pre-employment and hire process.
Assist in the planning and executing of various HR events, Team Member recognition events, programs and initiatives.
Provide administrative support such as filing paperwork, making new hire packets and maintaining Team Member personnel files.
Assist with new hire orientation and other training classes as assigned.
Track completion of required trainings.
Maintain bulletin boards with current information.
Create and distribute memos, flyers, monthly calendars, presentations, including Team Member Birthdays and Anniversaries, etc. as assigned
Assist with payroll processing for the hotel and communicate with payroll representative.
Actively engage Team Members to maintain a positive work environment.
Schedule drug testing and background checks with potential new hires.
Assist with the day-to-day administrative work of the Human Resources department and work closely with the Director of Human Resources.
Reserve Meeting Room for Orientation Class of new hires. Prepare Orientation and New Hire paperwork.
Maintain knowledge of current, local, state, and federal laws regarding employment practices.
Prepare reports utilizing the Human Resources Information System - (ADP).
Participate in hotel initiatives to ensure Team Members are living our values, delivering our promise and celebrating our stories.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2-year college degree preferred.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 1-year experience preferred.
Ability to speak and write in Spanish preferred.
