Duties & Responsibilities :
• Selection, Design, Testing, Integration, and Maintenance of key electro-mechanical sensor based systems with Robotic and IoT Platforms.
• PCB Design, Simulation, Manufacturing, Testing, Debugging of custom electronic hardware boards for Robotic and IoT built on different platforms.
• LCA for embedded hardware and power electronic platforms to comply with international norms and internal product lifespan requirements.
• Sensor calibration system design, manufacturing, testing, and integration into product and test systems.
• Core technology test rig design support with sensor platforms, library development, and integration working along with other teams.
• Firmware edge-case design, implementation, stress testing.
• Low Voltage power electronics circuit design, prototyping, testing, PCB Design, Manufacturing, debugging, Scalability Testing.
• Coordination with supply chain team, local and international vendors for sourcing of raw materials, material and cost optimization.
• Collaboration with mechanical design, simulation, software, product design teams for electronic hardware and harness integration.
• Working alongside third party validation companies for commercial certification.
• Leading team of interns where applicable.
• Interaction with business team for product feature changes.
• Interaction with B2B customer teams globally where applicable.
• Working alongside the Program Manager and company leadership on key product deliverables and timelines.
• Developing and maintaining key technology documentation (Design Documents, BoM, etc.) across core technology and embedded hardware electrical engineering teams.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest embedded technologies.
• Mentor and train junior engineers.
Key Skills :
• Strong Electrical, Electronics, and Computer science engineering fundamentals in Mechatronics and robotics, Automation, Modern Control Systems, Analogue Electronics, Digital Design, Power Electronics, and Electronic Devices.
• Exceptional experience in Circuit design, simulation, PCB design, manufacturing, and testing experience for embedded hardware.
• Exceptional hands-on skills with testing equipment: Multimeters, Scopes, DCAs, Logic Analysers.
• Exceptional hands-on skills in circuit assembly: Through-hole and SMD.
• Strong fundamentals and programming experience in C/C++, Python, etc. for embedded hardware.
• Exceptional hands-on skills with different embedded platforms like ARM, ATMega, Infineon, STM32, and ESP32 controllers.
• Experienced in embedded systems development and troubleshooting with Embedded Linux/RTOS like FreeRTOS, Keil RTX, Nucleus, µC/OS, VxWorks, etc.
• Skilled in MATLAB, Simulink, Raspberry Pi, dsPIC, FPGA, etc.
• Advanced logic development skills for robotic automation, motor control, and sensor communication with Simulink model development.
• Hands-on experience in protocols like UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, RS485, USB, Ethernet, BLE, WiFi, LoRa, RF, XBee, GSM, etc.
• Hands-on experience in Proximity Sensors, Ultrasonic/Sonar Sensors, IMU Sensors, Encoders, Thermal Sensors, Limit Switches, Joystick, HD Display, etc.
• Hands-on experience in controlling AC and DC Motors, Servo Motors, Stepper Motors, Solenoid Valves, etc.
• Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components.
• Debugging and troubleshooting embedded systems.
• Communicating with non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong documentation and writing skills.
Qualification: B.Tech/B.E in Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ M.Tech/M.E., Diploma or Professional Certification in Embedded Design/Robotic Automation Engineering
