Embedded Software Engineer
• Chelmsford, Essex (Hybrid)
• £50,000 - £65,000 + excellent benefits

Are you a highly experienced and innovative Embedded Software Engineer? Do you want to work on cutting-edge projects in space, aerospace, defence, and industrial markets?

The successful candidate will lead the design, development, and optimization of embedded software systems, ensuring their solutions meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security.

Key Accountabilities – Embedded Software Engineer
• The Engineer will provide bid and business development support in collaboration with other team members.
• This level of support will include reviewing and specifying technical proposals, conducting trade off analysis, and supplying estimates for effort, development time and material cost.

Skills and knowledge required – Embedded Software Engineer
• Industrial experience as an embedded software engineer using C for reliability software.
• Experience developing bare-metal embedded software for 32-bit ARM processors (SAM Microchip, STM32).
• Software development to MISRA C coding standards and guidelines
• Good understanding of hardware interfaces.
• Embedded firmware development, deployed onto and interfacing with bespoke hardware.
• Understanding of digital circuits and ability to read and interpret schematic diagrams.
• Experience debugging embedded software applications.
