Senior Embedded Software Engineer - Networking
Location: Farnborough
Salary: (£70k - £75k)
Role Overview: Join a cutting-edge project focused on a Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation. As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you'll lead the development of advanced networking software for a landing station connecting satellite networks to the internet cloud. This role involves designing real-time software to manage high-throughput data (up to 50Gb/s) across a network of satellites.
Senior Embedded Software Engineer Responsibilities:
• Develop user space applications for embedded Linux systems to manage network devices.
• Create and maintain software for network flow control management.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software with components like switches and routers.
Senior Embedded Software Engineer Skills:
• Strong embedded software development experience with a focus on Linux-based networking.
• Proficient in C/C++ for user space application development.
• Experience with network switch software (e.g., Broadcom, Marvell) and Layer 3/Layer 2 protocols (e.g., SR-MPLS, VLAN)
