About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Emergency Management Advisor to join our team. In this role you’ll support the Emergency Management Lead and work closely with Council teams, Mana Whenua, community groups, and emergency management partners to strengthen our city’s readiness and resilience. You’ll be involved in a mix of planning, relationship-building, and practical initiatives, including:
supporting emergency management planning and documentation
contributing to training, exercises, and capability building
helping coordinate work with external agencies and community partners
supporting projects that improve systems, processes, and ways of working
contributing to work that honours and strengthens Council’s relationship with Mana Whenua.
