Employ to Empower (ETE) an award-winning Vancouver-based charity that believes no one should be left behind. We collaborate with people facing systemic barriers, offering
skills-building, mentoring, and community engagement programming. Our programs empower people facing barriers such as disability, mental health challenges, and substance use through entrepreneurship to foster economic inclusion, confidence and belonging, so that they can become active contributors to their communities.
Role Overview
Reporting To: Brand & Marketing Lead
Location: Hybrid (Office is located in Downtown Vancouver – 319 West Pender Street)
Desired Start Date: May 19, 2026 (or sooner)
Commitment: 12 months with the possibility of extending the term
Position Type: Part-time Employee, 22.5 hours per week
Salary: $32,186 annually ($27.51/hr)
Core Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday – 9:30am-5:30pm
● Note: Flexibility is required for occasional "Event Day" coverage, which may fall in
the evening or a weekday outside of your scheduled days.

Key Responsibilities May Include
1. Impact Storytelling & Content Creation
● Building the Entrepreneur Storybank: Curating our entrepreneur-storybank that
houses the incredible stories of entrepreneurs in our program.
● The ETE Blog: Co-authoring long-form features, by transforming interviews into
compelling articles, highlighting the duality of living with barriers while thriving.
● The Annual Report: Supporting in creating our most important document of the year to
ensure our yearly impact is communicated professionally and aligning with ETE’s values.
2. Social Media & Community Management
● Daily Management: Taking ownership of our LinkedIn and Instagram presence,
including community management and executing the posting schedule.
● Visual Design: Creating graphics and short-form video content (IG Reels) for social
media that align with ETE’s brand identity.
● On-Site Content Coverage: Capturing photo and video content at organizational and
program milestones and events.
3. Event & Digital Marketing
● Event Marketing: Leading the digital marketing execution for our events through
managing social media posting and multi-channel promotion.
● Email Marketing: Drafting, designing, and sending out newsletters, event-related
emails, and other online campaigns.
4. Brand & Design Support
● Graphic Design: Providing ad-hoc design support for digital and physical assets to
ensure brand consistency across the entire organization.
● Brand Alignment: Ensuring all design assets meet brand consistency.
Experience:
● A post-secondary degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications or Business – or an equivalent combination of personal and/or professional background will also be considered.
● 1-2 years of experience in marketing, project coordination, or a creative field.
● Proficiency in Social Media Management (Instagram, LinkedIn) – previous experience
managing social media accounts on a professional level is considered an asset.
● Proficiency in Google Suites (sheets, docs, form, etc)
● Proficiency in Graphic Design tools like Canva or similar
● Experience (or a strong interest) in basic video editing for social media and long-form
writing (blog, features).
● Experience using email marketing tools (Keela, Mailchimp) is considered an asset.
● Lived and/or professional experience working with low-income communities living with multiple systemic barriers is considered an asset.
