Job Title: Employee Relations Advisor

Contract Type: FTC minimum of 6 months

Location: Runcorn - Hybrid (4 days office / 1 day home after onboarding)

Salary: Up to £34,000 (Pro Rata)

Hours: Monday to Friday 09.00 – 17.15

Are you passionate about people and ready to make a real impact in a fast-paced, high-volume environment? We’re looking for an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our HR team on an interim basis and help shape a positive, supportive workplace culture.

About the Role

As one of our ER Advisors, you’ll be the go-to expert for all things employee relations—guiding and coaching managers through a wide range of cases, from conduct and capability to more complex organisational change. You’ll play a key role in ensuring fair, timely, and risk-aware outcomes that align with both employment law and our internal policies.

What You’ll Be Doing

Acting as the first point of contact for ER matters across the business

Coaching and supporting managers to confidently handle ER cases

Tracking ER cases and identifying trends to drive continuous improvement

Supporting projects such as TUPE, restructures, and policy development

Enhancing ER capability across the organisation through tools and training

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves:

Proven experience in an ER advisory role (ideally in retail, distribution, or similar)

Strong knowledge of UK employment law

CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent)

Confident communicator with excellent coaching and interpersonal skills

Organised, resilient, and able to manage sensitive matters with discretion

Desirables:

Experience with TUPE, redundancy, and organisational change

Ability to analyse ER data and generate insights

Familiarity with HRIS and ER tools
