The Role

As the Employee Relations Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in the Employee Relations, Health and Safety Team, which is part of the broader People and Culture function. You will support the delivery of effective employee relations (ER) services and frameworks, particularly in managing professional conduct matters, coordinating incident responses, and handling historical matters, as well as requests for information. Your contributions will help maintain a safe, respectful, and legally compliant work environment for all CESL employees. This position is ideal for someone with a HR background looking to specialise in employee relations and industrial relations (ER/IR).

Key Responsibilities

Support the team in the provision of ER advice.

Coordinate ER projects, inbox monitoring, and report compilation.

Draft and manage ER/IR documents and professional conduct records.

Coordinate professional conduct responses and manage information sharing requests.

Support industrial relations activities and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

Qualifications and Experience

A current unrestricted Australian Drivers Licence is essential.

Experience in preparing clear and concise documentation such as employee letters and reports.

Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise with various stakeholders.

Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support to a team.

A commitment to the Catholic ethos, with an understanding of Catholic traditions and practices.

Skills and Attributes

General understanding of employment laws, occupational health and safety regulations, and industry standards.

Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Understanding of ethical standards in ER/IR and a commitment to integrity.
