The Opportunity
In this influential role, you'll shape the future of our People & Culture service delivery model by designing a user-centric, digitally enabled service environment that enhances the employee experience. You’ll lead a talented team, overseeing Payroll, HR systems, analytics, and Employee Services, and work to reimagine and embed agile, inclusive, and responsive processes. You will
manage our Payroll, HR systems and analytics functions, driving efficiency and excellence;
lead a talented team of Employee Services Officers, ensuring a unified, client-focused approach to our service delivery;
oversee project delivery, and design and implement impactful programs/initiatives that resonate across the entire university community; and
cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including Executive and senior staff, to enhance our strategic objectives.
We value a balance between work flexibility and engaging with teams onsite, this role will be primarily office-based at Sippy Downs in a 4:1 hybrid working model.

With a keen understanding of business needs, trends, and payroll regulations, you’ll work closely with our People and Culture leadership team to shape impactful strategies and drive quality outcomes. Your ability to lead with insight and inspire excellence will be key to your success in this role.
You will possess:
Experience in building and delivering high quality People and Culture solutions that prioritise client focused practices.
A track record of setting ambitious goals, using metrics to track progress, and persistently pursuing success.
Experience in evaluating and implementing innovative ideas, challenging conventional processes, and pushing boundaries.
Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in People and Culture, coupled with strong business acumen and change management skills.
Expertise in Human Resources legislation, best practices, and systems, with a focus on enhancing business processes, ideally having previously managed a complex payroll function.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, handling ambiguity and shifting priorities with precision.
Demonstrated skills in leading projects and managing teams effectively.
