The wellbeing of our large, diverse workforce is paramount to us, and our "Connect" centre is an award-winning initiative run by Advisors who provide support, advocacy and referral services to any staff members in need. The team administer our Employee Assistance Programme and SkyCity's interest-free hardship loan scheme, as well as getting involved in every aspect of the employee experience.
The Employee Support Advisor is a unique role combining elements of advocacy, coaching and counselling, with a focus on ensuring SkyCity employees are supported in ways that allow them to contribute fully at work, in their homes, and in their communities. In addition to this you'll be championing wellbeing across the organisation and supporting and driving wellbeing initiatives.
Mōu | About You
This role would suit someone with a background in counselling/coaching, social services, mediation, community or wellbeing services. You'll have a level-headed, mature approach, some life experience, a calm demeanour, the ability to hold space for others and to problem solve with ease. You'll demonstrate prior experience working with people of different ethnicities and beliefs. An understanding of employment/human rights legislation would be great, but this isn't essential.
Because we are a 24/7 business, we work extended hours during the week so that we are available to support employees - these hours are flexible and we're open to a discussion on how we can make them work for you.
