Employment Consultant Maxima | Gawler SA

You will work with our customers to help build their skills, experience and confidence in supporting them to find meaningful employment, by identifying their career goals and assisting them through their employment journey. You will have experience in providing excellent customer service, with a strong passion in helping people secure meaningful employment. Your desire to assist individuals and contribute to achieving business goals, will make you a good fit for the Employment Consultant role.

Your responsibilities will include…

Identifying individuals’ strengths, skills, abilities and employment aspirations

Sourcing suitable employment opportunities for customers

Delivering outstanding customer service to customers and employers

Developing and maintaining relationships with local employers and community based organisations, to create and sustain employment opportunities

Engaging, networking and interacting with local community groups to promote Maxima’s services

Providing individualised support to customers in resume building, interview preparation and job searching

Creating and implementing job plans with the customer that support a pathway to employment

Providing guidance and support to customers through training and other support services

Maintaining up-to-date records of interactions with customers’, job placements and program outcomes

This is a fixed-term, part-time role where days/times can be negotiated with the successful applicant. The role is located at our Gawler office with some travel required within the region.

What will you need to succeed?

You will demonstrate drive and compassion, working closely with our customers to inspire them and assist them to find and retain employment and possess the following;

Outstanding customer service

Ability to achieve individual and team KPIs

Ability to engage with the local community and build strong networks

Strong administration skills including maintaining documentation

Case management experience (desirable)

Demonstrate knowledge of Disability Employment Services and/or Employment Services (desirable)

A current driver’s licence, National Police Check, relevant State/Territory Working With Children Check and NDIS Worker’s Clearance, or be willing to obtain.
