Position Summary:
Tucker Ellis LLP is seeking an experienced and motivated Employment Litigation Associate to join our growing Atlanta office. This role focuses on representing employers in a wide range of employment-related disputes, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, non-compete, and wage and hour matters. The ideal candidate will have 2-8 years of employment litigation experience, strong analytical and advocacy skills, and a desire to work in a collaborative and dynamic environment. Responsibilities:
• Defend clients in employment litigation matters, including claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, non-compete, and wage and hour disputes.
• Handle the defense of single-plaintiff cases, as well as class and collective actions.
• Draft and argue motions, including motions to dismiss, summary judgment motions, and other substantive motions.
• Conduct investigations, interviews, and preparation of witnesses for depositions and trial testimony.
• Oversee and conduct all phases of discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests, subpoenas, and document review and production.
• Represent clients in mediations, settlement conferences, and administrative proceedings before the EEOC and state agencies.
• Provide advice and counsel to clients on compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, such as the FLSA, FMLA, ADA, and Title VII.
• Assist clients with developing and implementing workplace policies, employee handbooks, and best practices to minimize legal risk.
• Train employers on employment law topics.
• Collaborate with partners and team members to deliver exceptional legal solutions for clients.
Requirements:
• 2-8 years of employment litigation experience.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively in a team environment.
• Licensed in Georgia
• Being licensed in California is a plus but not a requirement
