MOSAIC is seeking a client-centered, results-oriented individual who is passionate about empowering clients to reach their personal and employment goals in the role of Employment Skills Facilitator/Case Manager. POSITION FUNCTION:

As the Employment Skills facilitator/Case Manager, develops and delivers classroom instruction to WorkBC clients that results in improved employability and successful job attachment outcomes. This position provides case management services for eligible clients according to the WorkBC Case Management model and assists clients in developing and following through on action plans to achieve labour market attachment.


KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Maintain knowledge of the unique needs of program participants and related activities/services
Evaluate the process to determine how case-managed clients are referred to classroom instruction; regularly assist the assistant manager in refining the process
Develop and deliver classroom instruction to improve adult learners’ employability
Maintain and monitor client progress to a successful job attachment outcome through building rapport with clients and documenting client activities in the client database
Assist in resolving client complaints and managing aggressive client behaviors
Take on the additional tasks as assigned by the assistant manager (partner staff) or as assigned by the Manager
Provide back-up for the employment resources specialist in providing client intake, client needs assessment services, and the operation of the WorkBC Resource Room
Play the role of subject matter expert (SME) serving one or more Client Inclusion Groups
Evaluate curriculum and teaching methodologies; regularly update classroom instruction delivery to improve client outcomes
Support the team with program policy interpretation and develop a strategy/process to improve contractual outcomes and achieve client success
Collect and maintain labour market information and information on labour market trends

QUALIFICATIONS:

A post-secondary degree, certificate or diploma in a relevant field (human resources management, career development, counselling, social work, psychology, adult education), or completion of coursework in related fields, or 2 or more years of demonstrated experience in:
Delivering basic life skills/essential work skills programs; facilitating group-based workshops within the WorkBC framework, evaluating curriculum, teaching methodologies, and case-management referral processes
Working with individuals with complex barriers and a broad range of cultural backgrounds
Job coaching, counselling, or mentoring clients
Conducting and interpreting clients’ needs assessments
Providing excellent customer service and resolving issues both in person and in a virtual service delivery environment
Building partnerships with employers, community agencies and other stakeholders
Current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check required
English communication skills, other languages are an asset
Experience evaluating curriculum
Knowledge of teaching methodologies and case-management referral processes
Cross-cultural communication skills
Experience facilitating group-based learning for adult learners
Cultural Awareness; ability to work with diverse groups
Ability to adapt teaching materials to meet the needs of clients
Able to build rapport with clients
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Teams, database software, and able to operate standard office equipment
Excellent problem-solving, collaboration and organizational skills
Organized and able to set priorities and meet deadlines
Tactful, discrete, diplomatic, patient, flexible
Career Development Practitioner certified will be considered an asset
Experience with the Integrated Case Management (ICM) system will be considered an asset

HOURS:

Full-time (35 hours per week)


The successful candidate must be able to commute to the New Westminster WorkBC Centre at 2nd Floor, 519 7th St. New Westminster, British Columbia V3M 6A7


COMPENSATION: $28.58 - $29.25 per hour


BENEFITS:

A competitive benefits package is provided with contracts of at least 1 year in length and which offer a minimum of 17.5 hours of work per week.
