Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk and will be the first point of contact for patients. This position requires a friendly demeanor, strong administrative skills, and familiarity with medical terminology and electronic medical records. Experience in an endoscopy clinic is a plus.
Responsibilities
Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out procedures.
Manage incoming calls, schedule appointments, and maintain the appointment calendar.
Handle patient inquiries and provide information regarding services offered.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic medical records systems, including Dentrix.
Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance information.
Ensure the front desk area is organized and welcoming for patients.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to facilitate communication between patients and medical staff.
Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing office supplies.
Experience
Previous experience as a receptionist in a medical or dental office is preferred.
Proficiency in using phone systems and electronic medical records software.
Familiarity with medical terminology is highly desirable.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
