We are urgently seeking a Staff Nurse - Endoscopy for a private hospital in Westmeath Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
• Handle all theatre equipment correctly and with care.
• Work to NMBI's scope of practice and maintain the competencies necessary for professional practice.
• Be available and flexible to work in all clinical areas of the hospital as required.
• Adhere to both national and hospital protocols, policies, procedures, guidelines, and standard practice.
• Liaise with theatre consultants concerning patient care and treatment.
• To ensure the provision of a high standard of nursing care to patients attending the endoscopy unit, working within the agreed process and procedure.
• Performs related duties as required within the Endoscopy department.
• Manage a designated caseload.
• Participate in clinical audit and review.
• Participate in the development, promotion, and implementation of infection prevention and control guidelines.
Requirements
• NMBI Registered General Nurse license in good standing.
• Previous experience in a theatre environment in the specialty area of Endoscopy.
• To have at least 1 year of recent relevant post-registration experience, preferably in an acute hospital setting.
• Must be registered in the general division of the register of nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board Ireland.
• Possess well-developed interpersonal and organizational skills, proven clinical ability, risk management, clinical audit, and excellent communication skills.
