As an Engineer 3 Electrician at The Beverly Hills Hotel, your compensation will be $35.72 per hour.
What you'll do
Our Engineer 3 – Electrician is responsible for ensuring all electrical systems and components throughout the hotel are operating safely, efficiently, and in alignment with our luxury standards. From responding to guestroom electrical issues to maintaining the hotel’s critical infrastructure, this role demands technical expertise, attention to detail, and a service-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Respond to guest room and back-of-house electrical calls with efficiency and professionalism.
Perform routine and emergency electrical repairs, including troubleshooting panels, outlets, switches, lighting, and low-voltage systems.
Inspect, maintain, and repair hotel electrical systems including lighting controls, motors, pumps, kitchen equipment, elevators (support role), and emergency systems.
Work safely with high-voltage and low-voltage systems in compliance with codes and hotel policies.
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, and equipment manuals.
Accurately complete logs, inspection forms, and daily tracking sheets.
Collaborate with other trades and hotel departments to address and resolve maintenance needs.
Identify and report electrical issues proactively; help maintain a flawless physical environment throughout guest and public areas.
Maintain communication with supervisors and peers about job status and material/tool requirements.
Provide excellent service when interacting with guests, always delivering with a polished and courteous demeanor.
The items shared are essential. However, to ensure consistency, our Engineer 3 - Electrician are provided with specifics on how we care for their department and our hotel.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to but not limited to the following: standing, sitting, squatting, climbing, walking. Vision is a key element, close vision, distance vision, clarity and color vision are very important. There can be a lot of up close intricate work. A full range of motion is also required, there will be times when crawling, bending, twisting, reaching, working with hands over your head will be needed. There will be pulling and pushing involved of tools and or equipment. There is a need for hand strength, gripping tools, pulling wire, securing ropes, etc. Balance and agility are also important. Working on a ladder is also a requirement. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The proper lifting techniques are to be used and proper equipment to be employed.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. To include hot days, cold days, rainy days, overnight hours. You can be exposed to dust, fumes, odors, moisture, fluids, cleaners solvents and paints. Employee will get dirty, there are jump suits and additional uniforms for that reason. Will be exposed to uncomfortable noise levels to include: hammering, pounding, grinding, sanding, scraping.
What you'll bring
5+ years’ experience as an electrician in a commercial, residential, or hospitality setting.
Valid California Certified Electrician License, or California Certified Journeyman Electrical License.
Strong understanding of fire/life/safety systems and shut-off protocols.
Familiarity with NEC (National Electrical Code) and local compliance standards.
Mechanically inclined with ability to support general engineering tasks as needed.
Positive attitude, team-oriented, and committed to excellence.
English is the primary language used in our hotel. Our Engineer 3 Electrician must feel comfortable communicating in this language.
Attention to detail is critical for our this role.
Our hotels operate nonstop, this require flexibility from everyone on the team.
