What will your day look like
1. Expertise in Engineering combined with broad capability and a proven ability to innovate and adapt to the latest developments in our technologies mentioned below
2. Demonstrates in-depth customer insights and acts as an advocate, enhancing the customer experience by challenging and encouraging others to put the customer first
3. Maintains commitment to change; engages with others to gain buy-in and act as an advocate for continuous improvement. Proactively identifies, support and drive opportunities for change
4. Strong awareness of banking and finance industry trends and threats (technology, products, regulatory environment, competitors, innovations)
5. Understanding of current and prospective customer needs and expectations
6. Fosters all networks and leverages an understanding of others’ behaviour to adapt influencing style and approach to effectively collaborate, build relationships & maximise impact
7. Involved in troubleshooting for service recovery
8. Provide ongoing support for platforms as required EG: problem and incident management
+. Ability to deep dive and provide resolution for customer and system/production issues/incidents
10. Flexibility to work on wide range of technology stack i.e. from legacy to most recent ones
What will you bring?
Essential Skills:
• Experience with Java 8+, Springboot
• Experience developing responsive user interfaces using modern Javascript frameworks such as ReactJS, VueJS, AngularJS
• Experience with microservices architectures and APIs
• Exposure software design principles and patterns
• Experience with SQL database persistence frameworks JPA, Hibernate
• Experience automating functional and non-functional tests with testing frameworks such as CucumberJS, RestAssured, WebdriverIO, Jmeter
• Ability to problem solve and has attention to detail
• Good time management and communication skills
• Knowledge of application monitoring tools (Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana)
Desirable Skills:
• Knowledge of payments domain and transaction processing
• Ability to share knowledge and collaborate well within a team
• Experience in devOps principles and CI/CD pipelines
• Enterprise platform experience with a high volume of transactions / users
• Experience with Typescript, Node.js, MongoDB and Redis
• Exposure to security best-practices
• Performance testing and tuning
• Oracle, Postgres or NoSQL databases
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. GCP, AWS)
• Experience to Docker and Kubernetes platforms (e.g. Openshift, EKS, GKE)
