We are looking for a Design Engineer who will be part of the India RD&E organization in Danfoss Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls Division (RAC). He will report to Manager for NPD (New product Development).
Job Responsibilities
• Development of Product Design ideas based on market requirement that could be converted into a product
• Assess and execute Design tasks to move from concepts both on technology and as per the requirement, to a saleable product
• Function in a team towards project execution from concept to production and complete the activities defined in all milestone deliverables
• Hands-on design calculation. Make detailed Part drawings, Assembly drawings, BOM, design specification sheets and drive process improvements
• Execution of Product Design verification and validations- Development of test procedures, necessary fixtures and testing
• Collaborating with cross functional team and external suppliers for prototype and testing activities.
• Support the Lead Engineer in managing Design reviews and using Design Tools during the project phases.
• Knowledge of TS quality systems / audits / tools
Background & Skills
• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree-in-Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics Engineering with minimum 3-5 years of experience in Product Development.
• Should have required NPD competencies such as concept development, Sound engineering practices & following safety standards,Knowledge of PDP processes Product quality standards - FMEA, DOE,
• Knowledge of ISO and TS standards for Drawings and International engineering practices and 2D /3D modelling using Design tools like Autodesk Inventor, Pro E , Solidworks
• Knowledge of Structural Simulation and further Analysis for improving Design.
• Proficient knowledge and know-how of different Manufacturing Processes.
• Knowledge on Part Manufacturing viz., Forging, Casting, Forming, Machining, etc.
• knowledge on Assembly Manufacturing, viz., Fastening, Welding/Brazing, Press-fit, etc.
• Knowledge on Joint-Design-Discussions with Suppliers for Part Development.
• Analyse Design for CO2 emissions, propose a suitable solution for low CO2 emission
