Our Digital Team partners with business units and clients to develop software and technical innovation. We collaborate with our development teams in science, mechanical and electrical engineering, physics, and geoscience to develop innovative software.

The Drilling Services Product and Technology Team is looking for a self-contained, motivated, and structured Firmware Development Engineer to join our team. This will be a unique opportunity to join a cross discipline team working with state-of-the-art technologies in the energy development industry. The position is based in Pune, India.
As an Engineer - Embedded Software Development (Toolchain & Scripting), you will be responsible for:
• Programing and maintaining firmware frameworks for different microcontroller platforms including driver programming (e.g., SPI, UART, CAN based periphery).
• Supporting tool chains and embedded development environments
• Developing scripts using languages like Python for automating, debugging, and testing
• Configuring and maintaining software version control systems and defect tracking software
• Defining and contributing to common standards and development approaches (e.g., requirements analysis process, design- and coding styles, test standards)

To be successful in this role you will:
• Have bachelors in STEM from reputed universities.
• Have good embedded C programming experience on microcontrollers (8/16/32 bit architecture)
• Have experience in low level driver development on various microcontrollers/DSPs
• Have configuration/maintaining experience with at-least one software version control and defect tracking software (e.g., SVN / GitHub)
• Have 3 to 5 yrs of experience in C or C++ programming.
• Have experience in scripting languages like Python, exposure to Toolchain configuration and source control management.
• Have experience supporting development tools like make files, compiler, embedded development environments, continuous integration servers.
• Have programming experiences on following bus technologies: CAN, SPI, UART.
• Have experience in using measurement- and laboratory equipment.
• Have basic experience of analysis of digital circuitries and technical datasheets.
