Position: Engineer
Reporting To: Manager Production.
Location: Jamnagar
Department: Production
No. of reportees: 20 to 30 (Associates).
Position Summary:
The person is responsible for carrying out production and quality activity effectively with optimum utilization of resources. Actively involved in production manpower handling, timely execution of jobs, ensure achieve daily production targets & ensure product must meet quality criteria.
Responsibilities:
Aligning production activity in line with the production plan received from planning department.
Ensure smooth execution of production through effective planning, coordination, communication, delegation, supervision, training, hand holding and resolution of technical issues being faced in day-to-day activities.
Monitor process performance data and carry out data analysis for non-achievement of targets and initiate suitable corrective actions for sustainable. improvements.
Maintain records of production as required by organization & ensure maintenance of machines.
Responsible for resolve quality issues and reduction in rejection, analysis and action plan for material rejection in assembly shop.
Maintain Die, Tools & Machine maintenance history card as per ISO standard.
Monitoring employee lateness and absences & maintain it with record.
Maintain material movement (receiving and submission) activity with Store department and it should be as per daily plan.
Ensure to achieve Production as per production plan and priorities.
Ensure to quality of product match with the drawing specification.
Managing Inventory control and On-Time Delivery (OTD).
To ensure proper housekeeping in the department.
To ensure all workmen wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while at work.
To ensure all workmen follow the Environment, Health & Safety policy.
Maintain a report of daily production and file it into the main database. This data is used by manager to make production decisions.
Skills Required:
Experience in manufacturing proceses like Grinding/Polishing, metal castings, pressure die casting, electroplating etc.
Knowledge of basic QC tools and their usage.
Knowledge of understanding engineering drawings.
Should be familiar with usage of measuring istruments like vernier callipers,thread gauages,etc.
Basic knowledge of Excel, Word and SAP (PP Module).
Awareness on requirements of ISO +001:2015 QMS, Safety, Daily Tool Box Talk,
Willing to work on the shop floor departments.
Educational Qualification and Experience:
B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical/Production with minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing industry, especially Metal finishing.
Diploma in Mechanical/Production with minimum 4 years of experience in manufacturing industry, especially in metal finishing.
