We are currently looking for a Full-Time Engineer. The Engineer is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the maintenance department at the property. This includes assisting the engineering team in maintaining all areas of the hotel, both interior and immediate exterior, to the expected standards. Additionally, the Engineer ensures that all guestrooms are properly maintained to meet the property's quality expectations.

Pay: $22.00/h

Responsibilities:

The essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:

Supervise the interior and exterior maintenance needs of the entire property.

Corrective, preventative and emergency maintenance to maintain property in safe and attractive condition.

Complete repairs to existing equipment and amenities at the property including painting, patching, etc.

Assure maintenance of tools and equipment in safe working conditions.

Maintain records of types and frequency of maintenance.

Make approved purchases of supplies, equipment, and services.

Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies.

Conduct regular safety inspections of the property.

Thorough knowledge of power, water, and gas turnoffs, plumbing cleanouts, fire extinguishers.

Assure maintenance of exterior lighting, gutter cleaning, walkways, parking areas, trash enclosures, pool/spa, and common area facilities.

Maintain a clean Driving License.

When required, cover the van driver’s position by transporting guests promptly, in a friendly, and courteous manner, while always adhering to safe driving practices.

Seasonal work-related tasks such as salting, shoveling snow, watering plants and cleaning debris from around building and gravel lots.

Perform other duties assigned by the Management (other duties from time to time as assigned by the immediate supervisor. Hotel management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time).

Experience & Qualifications:

Minimum of two years hotel experience as a maintenance worker or progressive maintenance responsibility. Proper tool and chemical use.

Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements:

Working knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, pool/spa care.

English speaking.

Valid driver’s license. Good driving record.

Physical Requirements:

Frequent walking, standing, bending, squatting, crawling, climbing. Lifting/maneuvering/carrying heavy items up to 50 lbs. unassisted or with use of dolly.
